Our solid oak wall shelves provide a wonderful alternative to floating shelves if you require your shelf to take a heavy load. Made from 44mm thick premium grade oak, each shelf is made-to-order up to 2400mm (2.4 metres) in length and up to 600mm in width. Choose from 5 different edging styles and a choice of 4 protective finishes to create your perfect shelf.

Oak wall shelves by The Floating Shelf Company use traditional under-mounted brackets.

These wooden shelf brackets are made exclusively for you, using the exact same timber as your shelf and are compatible with all of our wall shelves, from 110mm to 450mm wide.  Alternatively, you can select the more contemporary chrome shelf brackets, which are available for all shelves between 230mm and 350mm wide.

Our wall shelves are perfect for those looking for very wide shelves (up to 600mm) or those wishing to mount shelves onto anything other than a solid wall. Wall shelves can be mounted onto any type of wall using suitable screws and rawl plugs. Please see our wall shelf fitting instructions page for full details.

Please note: If you choose wooden or chrome brackets from the dropdown option in your order, this will add the cost of a pair of brackets to your order. Should you require more than two brackets for your shelf, you can order additional singular brackets from our brackets page. 

 

 

Designer edging is exclusive to The Floating Shelf Company and adds a contemporary look to your shelves. Designer edging is available in any of our three traditional hardwoods (oak, ash and walnut), with the option of adding either one or two stripes of contrasting timber to the front edge of the shelf.

To pick designer edging, simply add the designer edging option to your order using the dropdown menu provided.

Designer edging is available for all floating shelves, wall shelves, alcove shelves and window sills, to the front edge only.

Please note: Designer edging is not available for corner shelves or shelves with radius or clipped corners, and cannot be applied to the sides of the shelves.
